How do I get an estimate for my lawn or ornamental trees and shrubs?
All we need to get started is your name, address, phone number and e-mail address (you can call or click here). The e-mail is only used for business reasons, never any selling. Let us know if the estimate is for the lawn and/or tree and shrub care. Also please indicate if there are any special issues we need to look at. We will visit the site and make an evaluation. We will either leave a packet that explains everything in your door or we can e-mail it to you, just let us know what you prefer. If there are any questions after you review the estimate please call and we would be glad to clarify things.
What is the difference between the two lawn care programs?
The main difference is the use of complex of organic components in the basic plus organic program. The basic program is similar to most programs available on the market except we use superior fertilizers and don’t cut corners with cheaper control products.
They both have the same basic components: fertilizer, weed, grub and insect control.
The complex use of multiple organic products increases the health of the living aspect of the soil profile, the microbial life.
Both programs are superior because we utilize a mostly liquid program. It provides an immediately available product that is absorbed and trans-located thru the plants so the effects are instant.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Our guarantee is to work with you and your lawns conditions until you are satisfied with the results. When you work with Mother Nature there is no guarantee of a perfect lawn every year. Anyone that does is misleading you.
Is it all organic?
No. There are no reliable organic pesticides on the market. Both programs use the same chemicals controls. The organic complex we use is used mainly as a soil amendment. The purpose is to increase microbial life in the soil in order to create a healthy growing environment for the turf plants. Other components of our organic complex are used to make everything we apply more readily available to the plant.
Do you use chemicals/pesticide?
Yes. There are no reliable or cost effective organic control products on the market today. If you want a quality lawn, it is necessary to use pesticides. The organics in our program are used to keep the soil healthy and reduce the dependency on chemicals.
Why do we need a soil test?
The soil test is an indicator to the health of the soil. When the nutrients in the soil are in balance, everything we apply is utilized to the fullest extent. When the soil is out of balance, nutrients that we apply may not be absorbed and utilized as they should be, causing less than acceptable results.
Do we have to have the test done?
Yes. We believe in order to provide you with a superior lawn we need to know the condition of the soils health.
A HEALTHY SOIL = A HEALTHY LAWN.
Can we do the program without doing the soil test?
No. The test it an important part of the lawn care program. Without the test results we would only be guessing as to the needs of the turf.
For more information please see the “Why use organics in your lawn tree and shrub care” page.
What happens to the soil test results?
After they are analyzed by the lab we will be sent the results. We in turn will review the results and determine what is recommended by the lab. We then send you a copy of the results along with a recommendation sheet and the prices to do those recommendations. These prices are not included in the initial contract as we have no idea of what the results will be. You can choose to have the work done or not. Of course we recommend that the work be done because creating healthy soil is very important for a quality lawn.
When do you apply lime?
The application of lime is determined by the soil test. The returned results will let you know exactly how much lime is required for your soil. We will give you prices to do the work. You can also choose to do it yourself because the test result will give you the exact amount needed.
Do you fertilize trees and shrubs too?
Yes. Trees and shrubs greatly benefit from a yearly fall feeding. Our program uses the same organic enhanced fertilizers to promote the soil health as well as provide the basic food for the plants.
